Andrew Johnson's Impeachment

The Tenure of office act was passed in 1867, preventing Johnson from removing an important person from duties without permission. Johnson retaliated dismissing Secretary of War, and receiving an impeachment penalty. He wasn't removed from office, but he was the first president to ever be impeached.
