Johnson's Reconstruction Policies

    Andrew Johnson's policies were not the same as Lincoln's. Johnson only had four conditions that the south had to agree to in order to be reinstated into the union.
                                                        1. Only those who took a loyalty oath were pardoned
                                                        2. If you were a high Confederate Official and owned property worth more
                                                                          than $20,000, you were not pardoned
                                                        3. Slavery needed to be abolished in every state wishing to return to the
                                                                              Union
                                                        4. Each state had to repeal their secession ordinance
